A gearbox serves three primary functions: enabling speed variation through different gear ratios, changing the transmission direction (e.g., with bevel gears), and altering output torque—under constant power, higher speed yields lower torque, and vice versa.
Gear box mainly has the following functions: 1. We usually refer to acceleration and deceleration, which are achieved by gear boxes with different speeds. 2. Change the transmission direction. For example, we use two fan gears to transmit force vertically to the other axis of rotation. 3. Change the rotational torque. Under the same power condition, the faster the gear speed, the lower the shaft torque, and vice versa.
